Learn to make two great projects this summer: The Rough Rod Toggle Necklace for him A pair of Shooting Star Earrings for her First, for the guy in your life, its simple, yet sophisticated, clean, but completely cool its the rough rod toggle necklace. From the hammered and oxidized look of the silver toggle ring, to the dark crevices of the fine silver toggle rod it's a great look for the guy in your life. Can't take the class with Steven James? Head to your nearest bookstore and pick up a copy of BeadUnique magazine which features this project and a thorough set of instructions. Often referred to as the scrap necklace, because its the product of left over materials, including leather, a small lump of PMC+ and a short piece of fine silver wire. Its a great project for anyone interested in learning how to torch fire. Remember the tighter the necklace the more finished and sexier it looks as with any natural stringing material, the leather will stretch over time. Avoid the temptation to crimp the leather cord to the ring, as youll need to replace the cord and ultimately waste the crimp tube. To prolong the life of your leather, the necklace shouldnt be worn in the shower. Find the magazine, as well as the instructions at a bead or book store near you. View the list of current retailers and if your favorite store doesn't carry the magazine request that they do so. And don't forget to create the perfect pair of earrings for yourself, shooting star style. Click here, to get the free full color project PDF featured at BeadStyle magazine and start making them today! You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the project.
